So, how on earth can one find the time for mindfulness amidst all this beautiful chaos? Well, I’ve got good news! Mindfulness doesn’t need to be a lengthy session of meditation or a retreat in the mountains. Today, we’re looking at 5 quick techniques that can help you find pockets of peace in your busy life.

  1.  Breathwork in the Car 🚗

Stuck in traffic? Use those red lights to your advantage. Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold it for a few seconds and then release it through your mouth. Repeat this as many times as you can until the light turns green.

  1.  Grocery Store Gratitude 🛒

Yes, even the cereal aisle can be a mindful space. As you pick up each item, take a moment to feel grateful for the nourishment it provides yours family.

  1.  The Two Minute Timeout 🕰

When things get overwhelming, five yourself permission to take a two-minute timeout. Step away from the noise, close your eyes and simply breathe. This little reset can do wonders for your stress levels.

  1.  Family Mindfulness Jar 🫙

Create a mindfulness jar with your kids! Fill it with small pieces of paper, each with a simple mindful activity written on it. Whenever your or your kids need a mindful moment, pull out a paper and do the activity together.

Instead of scrolling through social media while you wait, try a mindful swap. Spend those few minutes focusing on your breath, or simply observing your surroundings without judgement.
